God's heavenly calling to us is His invitation or bidding to come into relationship with Him. The invitation is accepted by believing in His Son Jesus Christ. His sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection from the dead was on our behalf---to pay for and take away our sins, and give us eternal life. When we believe that He did this for us personally, He comes to dwell in us by His Spirit and we enter an intimate and personal relationship of oneness with Him for eternity.
With all our sins paid for, and eternal life within, we have "partaken of the heavenly calling" and are holy children in the heavenly family of God. We now belong to Him and will never be judged or rejected by Him. This is God's bidding to eternal salvation.
If you have never accepted the call of God, I urge you to do so. You only need simply to believe in your heart that Jesus Christ was crucified, died, and resurrected from the dead for you. Pray and confess this belief to God:
God in Heaven, I believe Jesus died for my sins, and was resurrected from the dead so I could have new life. I believe I am forgiven all sins, and according to your Word I have your Spirit within me now and eternal life with You.
* If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9
* Wherefore, holy brothers and sisters, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus. Hebrews 3:1
* And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter that he may live with you forever; the Spirit of truth... for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. John 14:16-17
